The Fish Eagle Trail takes you to the heart of the wetlands, into the mouth of adventure and the edge of your wildest dreams as you venture through the famous Okavango Delta and Pans of Botswana.

Day One - Khama Rhino Sanctuary
We start in Johannesburg and travel to the Botswana Border, passing through the scenic Waterberg Mountains, in the Northwest region. After border formalities, we journey on to

the Khama Rhino Sanctuary (KRS). Evening game drive to the nearby pans and stay overnight.

Day Two - Maun
Depart KRS and cross the Kalahari, passing through the many villages along the Boteti River. Arrive at Maun, the tourist centre of Botswana. Afternoon Game flight over the Okavango Delta.

Day Three - Okavango
Today we travel in a Northwesterly direction to the Western side of the Okavango, a special corner of paradise. Here we will meet the Mekoros (Indigenous Dugout Boats). After transferring into our water transport, we glide along the channel to the camp on the island, possibly serenaded by the sound of hippos and Bell Frogs breaking the night's silence.

Day Four and Five - Okavango
Awake to the sounds of the exquisite bird life. For the energetic, a walk across the stunning landscape, to explore the island covered with the forests of Date Palms, Strangler Figs, Sausage Trees and the imposing Ebony. View the creatures of the Delta, Lechwe, Zebra, Water Birds or jut laze around the camp, enjoying the tranquil surroundings. A swim in one of the many pools before another Mokoro excertion across the lily covered floodplain.

Day Six to Eight - Moremi
The big game aspect of our tour commences today as we enter Moremi Game Reserve, one of the best wilderness ares in Botswana. This park covers swamp areas as well as dry land. We spend three nights in this park searching for the wide variety of animals and bird life in the reserve, while absorbing the sounds and beauty on the region. Each day begins and ends with a game drive as the rises and sets.

Includes Transport: Vehicle with poptop type tents 4 pax per vehicle. Safari Trailer with kitchen and shower cubicle. All meals as indicated. Safari equipment e.g.: Table and chairs. Hire of Mokoros, polers, Park entries and driver / guide.

Day Nine - Maun
Inspired by the beauty of the wilderness, we will retrace our route to Maun. A chance for last minute shopping before preparing for our journey back south. Laze around the pool or take another Game flight over the area you've recently visited.

Day Ten - Makgadikgadi Pans
Heading eastwards, we transit the Makgadikgadi Pans to arrive at Nata, a small village on the rim of the pans. After lunch we will drive along the edge of this once magnificent lake. Season permitting, we will have an opportunity to drive onto the pans themselves to view tie sunset. Return to the camp.

Day Eleven - Johannesburg
Today we travel South passing through the towns and villages and onto the Botswana / South African border. Arrive back in JHB to complete your Botswana Adventure.
